GetFileTools is a free online toolbox that helps you work with PDFs, images and everyday files quickly, privately and without hassle. Merge, split, compress, convert, edit, protect and resize files, or use handy calculators and generators, all in one place, with no watermark and nothing to install.

Our story

GetFileTools was founded by Abdullah Jadoon with a simple goal: to make everyday file tasks fast, free and respectful of your privacy. Jobs like shrinking a PDF for email, turning a PDF into Word or resizing a photo for an online form should not mean slow, cluttered websites, surprise watermarks or expensive software.

What you can do with GetFileTools

  • PDF tools: merge, split, compress, rotate, rearrange, edit, add page numbers and watermarks, protect, unlock and run OCR on scanned documents.
  • Convert: PDF to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPG, PNG, text and HTML, and Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text and images back to PDF.
  • Image tools: compress, resize, crop, rotate, convert formats, remove backgrounds, make passport photos, add watermarks and read text from photos.
  • Everyday tools: QR code and password generators, word counter, case converter, unit converter, age, loan, percentage, discount and BMI calculators, JSON formatter and Base64 encoder.

Privacy comes first

Many of our tools run entirely inside your browser, so your file never leaves your device. Tools that need our server send your file over an encrypted connection, process it in a private folder and delete the result automatically after 2 hours. We do not read your documents or use them to train AI systems. You can read the details in our Privacy Policy.

Our principles

  • Free to start: the everyday tools are free to use, with optional Pro plans for higher limits and advanced features.
  • No watermarks: your finished files are yours, clean and ready to use.
  • Simple: choose a tool, add your file, download the result.
  • Honest: we tell you when a result may need a quick review, for example with very complex layouts or scanned pages.
  • Private: we collect only what we need to run the service.
