Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of GetFileTools at getfiletools.com. By using the website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Last updated: 31 October 2026.

1. The service

GetFileTools provides online tools for PDFs, images and everyday tasks. Some tools run in your browser and some run on our servers. We may add, change or remove tools and features at any time.

2. Acceptable use

Use the tools only on files you own or have the right to process. You agree not to:

  • process content that is illegal, harmful or infringes the rights of others;
  • remove protection from documents you do not own or are not authorised to open;
  • upload malware or attempt to disrupt, overload or break into the service;
  • use bots or scripts to bypass limits, or resell the service without our written permission;
  • misuse the service in any way that breaks the law.

3. Your files and content

Your files remain yours. We do not claim ownership of them. You give us permission only to process them to deliver the result you asked for. You are responsible for the files you upload and for keeping a copy of your originals. Server results are deleted automatically after 2 hours, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Please provide accurate information. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or abuse the service.

5. Plans and payments

Some features and higher limits are part of paid Pro plans. Prices, periods and what each plan includes are shown on the pricing page. Payments are handled by our payment providers or by manual payment. Our Refund Policy explains refunds.

6. Intellectual property

The GetFileTools name, logo, design and software are owned by GetFileTools and protected by law. You may not copy, resell or reverse engineer them except where the law allows.

7. Service availability and accuracy

We work hard to keep the service fast and reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error free. Conversions try to keep layout, fonts and images, but very complex files may change, and scanned pages need OCR. Always check important results before you rely on them.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. See also our Disclaimer.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, GetFileTools and its founder are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, profits or business, or any damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or zero if you used only free tools.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or if we need to protect the service or other users.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where GetFileTools is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
